Our Purpose

The Sulphur Foundation for Excellence in Education was established in November 1989 as a nonprofit dedicated to investing in the students and educators of Sulphur Public Schools.

Through the support of generous contributions, the Foundation works to strengthen education by promoting academic achievement and encouraging creativity in the classroom.

OUR MISSION

The Sulphur Foundation for Excellence in Education exists to support and strengthen the Sulphur Public School system by providing resources, funding, and opportunities that enhance educational experiences for students and teachers.

So, what does the foundation do?

This foundation helps fill the gaps that normal school funding doesn’t cover.

  • They give teacher grants for classroom projects and ideas

  • They fund programs and resources that improve student learning

  • They help provide arts, cultural, and extracurricular opportunities

  • They support major projects, like equipment and facilities that benefit the whole district

  • Everything they do is aimed at making school better for both students and teachers

In short, they take donations and turn them into real, practical improvements inside the schools.
